Connecting Women of God All Over The World

When studying the women of the bible, who do you typically think of?

Most of us think of Sarah, Rebecca, Miriam, or Deborah the prophetess. Some of us think of Lydia or the Proverbs 31 woman, or even Mary Magdalene.

What makes these women so very special?

What makes them special is that they are just like YOU – a reflection of God’s glory. It’s important that you understand your position as a beautiful woman of God, reflecting the glory of our Savior in all that you do.

In many ways, these special women of the old and new testament are very much like you and me in that they had similar skills and duties. They were wives, mothers, daughters, friends, and had a special role to play within their homes and communities.

Why is the WOMAN so special?

Well, she was created in the image of God. Just like man, she too was created to look like her Creator. We are evidently a reflection of God’s glory.

Every time we perform a good deed of kindness, or reach out to help a friend, show a little patience, or go above and beyond the call of duty to help someone else, we are showing the character of God in our lives and others are able to see the Lord Jesus living and breathing through us. Now, that’s awesome news! You – awesome, beautiful woman, shine the glory of God through your life.

There are several things Elizabeth George says in her book “Walking with the women of the Bible”, page5, that apply to every woman who wants to reflect God’s glory in her life. These are the “R’s” you should never forget. Grab a pen and paper and commit these to memory and application in your life.

“Resolve never to criticize or downgrade yourself, but instead

Rejoice that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Resolve to walk by faith paths you may not understand and

Rejoice in the promise of His nearness as He directs your way.

Resolve to live as a child of God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and

Rejoice that as God’s child your name is written in heaven.

Resolve to commune with God daily through prayer and Bible study, and

Rejoice in His strength each day and hope in Him for tomorrow.

Resolve to reflect His glory and

Rejoice in His love!”

What are your thoughts?

Doing my ordinary, everyday things in life like chores and housework, I tend to forget that doing it is not ordinary at all. I am special as a woman and what I do is special too! Thanks for the post I enjoyed reading it!

I agree with Noe'l, and I noticed the most important part of the above quote is to rejoice. God said in Phillipians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!" I love God's word!!!!

Praise the Lord Ladies, I am so happy to here. Thank you for sharing the post.

I reslove to be that whole woman, serving God in every area in my life. I work everyday to get closer to being that Proverbs 31 woman and rejoice in the Lord that He gets me closer, closer each day.

Alba, isn't it a blessing to know that as we draw closer to Christ He draws closer to us?
Keep on praying, living, and believing in Him to be that Proverbs 31 lady. I am too.

Hello Ladies, Praise the Lord...

It is an awesome day and beautiful day as well. I have an idea. As regards to studying the woman in the bible, why don't we start with the proverbs 31 woman. Verse by verse, starting with verse 11. We can all state what the verse means to us and what we can learn from, what God is telling us and how we can cultivate it.

Please tell me what you think.

Love in Christ
