I'm curious to know the different places we're from.

So I'll start with myself...

I'm Demetria, and I currently reside in Alabama (although I am from a myriad of places as I grew up with Air Force parents).

I am Anna, I am from India Kerala, residing in Dubai, U.A.E. Dubai is the place where I and my parents Christian Pligrimage began.

our testimony,

"Lord Jesus called us, we immediately followed Him. Since,Jesus touched in the depth of my soul.Therefore i am still alive and living by Gods Grace." Its a line of my mummy's testimony.

My daddy an Electronics engnieer, working in the government office and mummy a well known doctor's daughter. Lived peacefully in Dubai, U.A.E with me then i was only a baby. Daddy started bussiness and slowly we were getting shortage of money, since our four lacks Dhrims, an arab person and a sirlankan man,they were workers of our shopping complex they had taken away this sum without my daddy's knowledge. Anyway, we had now become debtors, my parents were ashamed for the debt which for the first time in their life had come. So, on a fine day they decided to end their life, after ending me, as they were concerned of me, to let me live in this world alone since i was a girl, i had three elder brothers in India, and they were studing in hostel and well they thought my Dr.uncle and granddad,would look after them .

Well! on the day they decided to end their life , out of no where a Aunty came, and her name was Gracy Varghees, she a brethern believer, daughter of a well known evangilical writer, had been filled by the Holy Spirit, and have been praying for almost thirty years for a soul to bring to Jesus, on that day she told mummy and daddy about Jesus who is the Prince of Peace and how Jesus would help their soul, before aunty could say `Lets pray', aunty found that mummy and daddy on the floor, on their knees and that day my parents took Jesus Christ as their saviour, i was then seven years old and i was very much amazed at my mummys tears that rolled down her cheeks ,when she was saved.

Thats how Jesus my saviour saved my parents, into his eternal Love. I am very happy
that i was brought up in the obedience and in the faith of my Jesus. After a year, i too was saved by the saviour and baptised by his Holy Spirit. AMEN.


Baptism:

Mummy heard in her ears `baptism, baptism', she turned around to look who had said this to her, she didn't see anyone. again as she was slicing the onion she heard `baptism,baptism'. She just could not, bear anymore, somehow, she put the curry in the stove and reached for the phone, called Gracy aunty, said i am hearing each second `baptism,baptism'. Aunty at once said that ` oh! chechy(its malayalam word for calling elder sister), it means you have to be baptised. Its now time that you get baptized'. Well! no time was wasted as daddy came she told to dad this matter, and dad told `ofcourse, we must be baptised, since Jesus came into our life as the Prince of Peace, we must be a witness in the water too.' Praise the lord , and well ! I too was happy to be baptised .


On april 27 1990 , I and my parents were going to be baptised, by God's grace we got a church in which we found that our thirst for spirtual growth can be fulfiled. Then our pastor joy philp was informed that we wanted to be baptised.

well! by God's Grace we were baptised in the name of Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

Well! this was only then the begining of our journey spiritually.Then Jesus became our healer and our Beloved in our lonleness, how miracalusly he led us into His everlasting love. To tell the truth He is still leading us in his love. PSALMS 34:5 says `Those who look to him are radiant their faces are never covered with shame' . Amen to Jesus .

AFTER BAPTISM:


We were so happy that we got baptised, that our sins have been washed away. Well,when we was saved and got baptised our debts were not finished,but we believed that the God who gave us peace, who saved our soul, will help us. Well! we got baptised, without my Dad's and Mom's relatives knowing, but somehow they came to know and well! everything went upside down, they wont let mom and dad to see brothers,and by now it was may be five years or so since mom or dad had seen my brothers and i hardly remember them. our relatives were afraid that my brothers would be made Christian believers if they let my brothers come to be with us. Well! yet my mom and dad had a strong faith in Jesus.

My parents were able to see there sons after 13 to 15 long years. Its all by Grace of our Lord Jesus.

Well! after baptism, I and my parents fasted for 21 days, and well, Jesus helped us in the fasting period, this prepared us for another phase in our life,after the fasting after some days mom had a vision, in the vision she saw a shining light and she heard that not to be afraid that Lord Jesus would be with her . Well! we usually get up at four in the morning for prayers, as usual mom woke up before four in the morning, as she was about to brush her teeth, she saw her face in the mirror,saw that her lips were to the rightside in her face she thanked God and, called daddy, then me, as i was geting up at the call of my mom a scripture came to my heart, from Acts18:9,10., which I told her. Well! Our Pastor uncle came prayed for us and asked mom to go to hospital, and that mom won't do, cause she belived in the voice that she heard that she would be healed, some of the believers from the church came to pray for us, my mom's speech too had gone slurred by now and her left hand was motionless,well she hardly walked too. As usual we fasted and prayed on sunday , just the three of us as we were praying, and worshipping in the Holy Spirit, my mom was able to clap with her left hand so strongly,and she worshipped in the other tongue as she had done before. Praise the lord my mom was healed that day by Gods grace.(This, incident helped me to yearn to hear Lord Jesus' voice and to pray to Almighty God , to heal my sickness.)


10years before when I was 15 years old, I suffered from the bleeding of 48days, and I would pray to God about this illness which was by 20th day I was very tired and cant go to church or school due to heavy bleeding so I asked God what must i do? Our pastor and the believers Auntys all told me I will get some infection if I dont show to a doctor, cause, if anything happens my parents family who are traditionally Hindus, they will know and it will be not good. I didnt go to see a doctor cause I wanted the Lord who became the Prince of Peace in our lives to be telling me what to do.. besides,my mummy who was paralyzed by a stroke was healed the moment she heard the voice of God. So, I wanted my Lord to heal me, not a doctor. So when I asked God through the Bible I got this verse, I saw "I am going to bring my servant the branch" Zac. But I didnt understand the verse, I asked God, "Lord, What does this verse mean"? Anyway, I kept praying and finally on 47th day I was very tired. I told God that night before sleeping "Lord, I just am tired, no more I can see the colour, I m tired, God who talked to my mother talk me too and heal my sickness" And as I was sleeping that night may be around 3am I saw a beautiful light in front of me I knew God is going to speak, I got up and as I was about to call my parents who was sleeping near me to hear God's voice,Ijuscould not call them, immediately Isaw that in front of me on air a Bible was open and saw a hand and the finger was pointing to a verse in the Bible and verse was "I am going to bring my servant the Branch". And i heard a voice telling " I am going to bring my servant the branch means, When the Holy Spirit will come on you , you will be healed". Then i saw that I was taken to a place where there was full of green leaves etc..i was caught by my hand by the hand of God, later i remember in the middle of the night near by bed i was standing, that day i slept so soundly that i wasnt at all feeling ill or so. The next morning i saw not a drop of blood was there or was going. Then i remembered God had healed me, i am so thankful to my Lord my Savior for His Love, for His presence. Till today, nothing like that has happened ever since, as usual every month period comes at the right time and goes at the right time.

So thats how our Christian pilgrimage started and till today we are walking by soley by the Grace of the Lord Jesus in our life.
