Connecting Women of God All Over The World

Worshipping the Lord is a state of mind and heart that is crucial to our success as Christian women.

When we seek to please the Lord in every way , our desires are to worship and love Him- through our actions and our lives.

I would have to say that worship, then, is a state of the heart, and not necessarily a song or chorus.

From our heart status, our actions will appear. The Word of God says, "out of your belly shall flow rivers of living waters". So, whatever is inside of us will eventually come out!

If God's word and God's peace reside within us, then that's what will manifest in the flesh or the "natural realm".

My prayer is that my life will be a living sacrifice to the Lord- in my actions, my thoughts, and my goodwill toward Him and His service.

How about you? Are your desires toward the Lord? Do you want to draw closer to Him, comforted by His love and peace through the act of daily worship?

Amen. I agree that worship encompasses all outward aspects of our life of faith and devotion to God. But I appreciate your reminder that true worship to God flows forth from imparted grace to our hearts and minds.

I long to know Jesus as intimately in the spirit as Mary of Bethany and Mary Magdalene knew Him in the flesh. I believe that the "oil" for the lamps that are mentioned in the parable of the ten virgins may represent God's imparted grace "gathered" in our hearts and minds through intimate times of drawing near to Him in communion--in prayer, meditation on His Word, and devotional worship. I never come away from set aside times in God's presence without a new measure of His grace.

If God's Word is "the lamp that lights my path", then His grace must be the oil that fuels it! "Drawing near" is so important. As He transforms my heart and renews my mind through grace, I am enlightened and empowered to make genuinely worshipful choices in my outward conduct.
