Matthew 8:23-27 (New King James Version)

Wind and Wave Obey Jesus

23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. 24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

WHO is HE? He is our brother, our prayer warrior, HE is the son of GOD!! He is our Lord and savior and HE died on the cross for us.

Who are we to worry in our lives when the boat starts rocking when our Lord and savior lost HIS life for us? Who are we? WE are children of God not looking in the right places.

The boat is rocking, but you can't lose your focus in the storm. You just can't! Jesus has the power to still the storm if you look at HIM. Seriously, look at your storm; your finances, your relationships, your businesses, etc. Look at them and tell me how hard they are for GOD?

Jeremiah 32:17
‘Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

They are NOT. There is nothing tooooo hard for God. Your storm can be stilled, if you are ready. Jesus doesn't always have to be hold you up if you are looking at HIM. If you keep your eyes on HIM, you are already up, looking up and standing! NO need to lie prostrate and be afraid of the next wave; look up.

Your boat is rocking and your help is not coming from the world. Fathom this: God has given you the power to stop the boat from rocking. Do you have enough faith to use the power? Are you ready to walk in your anointing? Do you know you can anchor the boat in the middle of the storm and still BE STILL?

Dana, thanks for encouraging me to always keep my eyes and heart set upon the Lord. The world will knock you down and keep you there if the Lord is not the center of your life. Storms will come but we do not have to worry about the outcome for Jesus will calm the sea and the winds. Thank you Jesus!

I agree with Anne...great post, Dana. This inspires me to keep going and "looking unto the hills" where my help comes from. No matter what is going on around me I can have faith to anchor my boat in the middle of the storm - and as you've said - be STILL. So important. Thanks for this.

Dana, thanks for your inspirational post! There's no doubt that the storms will come, as our life is bound to have some rough seas. Your writing just helps to remind me that Jesus has to be my focus, my love, my all.
